HUOM!
USA Weightlifting is organizing the Online Weightlifting Challenge on February 3-6, 2022. The idea is to promote a fun and engaging activity, not so much focused on the high performance side of things and open to the casual lifter.
Athletes can access the event by clicking on https://usaweightlifting.sport80.com/register/event?eid=10747
Similarly to the World Masters Virtual Cup, this event will happen in three time zones around the globe: Australian Eastern Time (Sydney – AUS), Central European Time (Berlin – GER) and Mountain Time (Denver – USA).
The competition will have a cap for 640 athletes, split between all age groups and bodyweight divisions. We will have our professionally trained staff running all the sessions and will be selecting qualified and certified IWF LVL 1 and 2 Technical Officials to officiate this competition.
The cost to participate in this event will be $109, paid directly by athletes interested on attending. As we intend to share this opportunity with athletes that are members of your federation, we kindly ask:
- Is it possible for your federation to share this with your athletes?
- Is it possible for your federation to recognize the results of this competition as official results? If they will count as national records or to the selection of international teams is something that we would leave it entirely to your federation.
- Do you want to appoint one Technical Official that could officiate on this event? Technical Officials will be paid $20 per session.
